Sec. Antonio "Bebot" Villar, Jr. hits Charlie "Atong" Ang on the Jai-Alai Issue:

Why would the good secretary and Dangerous Drugs Board chairman Antonio "Bebot" Villar, Jr., claim in his speech during the 431st Agew na Pangasinan (Pangasinan Day) that Charlie Atong Ang's permit to operate jai-Alai is under the Meridien Vista Gaming Corporation? Sec. Bebot Villar later concluded that:

"... the province must sustain the gains made by Gov. Amado Espino Jr. under whose administration has transformed the province into a best place to work, live and invest. "

In his own article, the good secretary Antonio "Bebot" Villar Says:

Does the "indirect attack" on Rep. Rachel Arenas has something to do with the 2012 Congressional Race?

- Source: http://northwatch.wordpress.com/2011/05/14/editorial-why-is-arenas-dragged-into-jai-alai-issue/

Rep. Rachel Arenas was unfairly dragged into the issue involving Charlie "Atong" Ang:

"The governor denies any involvement in the operation of Jai alai in Pangasinan since it was the mayors who issued the business permits.

The governor also says that it was 3rd District Rep. Rachel Arenas who invited Atong Ang to come to Pangasinan.

Arenas has denied inviting Ang and said she is against any form of illegal gambling.

The talks are ripe in Bayambang that a son of a high official of the province is eyeing the congressional seat in the 3rd District.

By continuously linking the name of Rep. Arenas to Atong Ang, the theory is that Arenas will lose her popularity the favored son will be able to have a good chance come 2013 for the congressional seat.

Looks like the congressional race in 2013 for the 3rd congressional district is going to be a big, explosive and expensive one.

And of course the long term goal is for the favored son to become governor of Pangasinan in 2016." (Read more...)

Was the governor involved in this article the same governor being praised by the good secretary Antonio "Bebot" Villar, Jr.?

"... the province must sustain the gains made by Gov. Amado Espino Jr. under whose administration has transformed the province into a best place to work, live and invest. "

- Source: http://www.pinoymagasin.com/sec-villar-exposes-atong-angs-jai-alai-operations-in-pangasinan.html

Was this the same governor who claims that:

"He recalled that it was Ang, in collaboration with former Archbishop Oscar Cruz who put him in a bad light during the last congressional hearings on illegal gambling..."

So who is into illegal gambling? Who is politicking for the 2013 Philippine Elections?

Which allegations sound like a political speech at the expense and to the detriment of Charlie "Atong" Ang?

Why is the Dangerous Drugs Board discussion issues outside its domain (Illegal Gambling)?
